The Wanted’s Tom Parker Dies at 33

Tom Parker, who sang with the British-Irish boy band the Wanted, has died at 33 after battling a brain tumor.

“It is with the heaviest of hearts that we confirm Tom passed away peacefully earlier today with all of his family by his side,” Parker’s wife, Kelsey, wrote in an Instagram post. “Our hearts are broken, Tom was the centre of our world and we can’t imagine life without his infectious smile and energetic presence. We are truly thankful for the outpouring of love and support and ask that we all unite to ensure Tom’s light continues to shine for his beautiful children. Thank you to everyone who has supported in his care throughout, he fought until the very end. I’m forever proud of you.”

Parker’s brain cancer was first diagnosed in October of 2020.

“[The doctors] pulled the curtain around my bed and said, ‘It’s a brain tumor,'” Parker had shared in an interview around that time. “All I could think was, ‘F–king hell!’ I was in shock. It’s stage four glioblastoma and they’ve said it’s terminal. It was a lot to deal with by myself. I still haven’t processed it.”

Parker is survived by his 2-year-old daughter, Aurelia, and 16-month-old son, Bodhi.
