MTV was a rare combination of great music and videos, designed to appeal to the youth of America, beginning its cable broadcast on Saturday, August 1, 1981 at 12:01 AM Eastern and the rest they say is history.

The first music video shown on MTV was ironically the Buggles’ with “Video Killed the Radio Star.” The original VJs were Martha Quinn, Nina Blackwood, Mark Goodman, Alan Hunter and Martha Quinn. What are considered the Top MTV Music Videos of all time?
