Life continues to march on, with and without us. In 2018 it seems all out favorite stars are leaving us. Here are the wonderful folks that have passed on as we enter the halfway part of 2018…

Craig MacGregor, the original Foghat bassist.
Pat Torpey, the founding member of Mr. Big.
Dennis Edwards, one of the original members of the Temptations.
Hugh Masekela, “Grazing in the Grass” our favorite Jazz trumpet great.
Jim Rodford, of the bands Argent, the Kinks, and the Zombies.
Edwin Hawkins, ‘Oh Happy Day’ Gospel Star.
Unexpectedly the Cranberries founding member and lead singer Dolores O’Riordan.

Earlier in the year, we also saw the deaths of Ray Thomas, the flutist for the Moody Blues, Rick Hall, the owner of FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, AL. The man who promoted the Beatles early in their career, Jimmy Robinson, legendary recording engineer whose five-decade career saw him work at some of the top studios in New York and Los Angeles, passed away this January 6th at the age of 67.
