The Starbucks Firework Frapp is Here – but Only for 8 Days!

Starbucks Fruit Frappuccino

Last month, Starbucks dropped the news that this summer they’d be launching not one, not two, but FOUR new Frappuccino flavors in July: Salted Caramel Mocha Strato Frappuccino (mocha frapp with salted caramel cream cold foam, finished with a drizzle of caramel sauce), Strawberry Matcha Strato (matcha cream frapp with strawberry cream cold foam), and Brown Sugar Strato (coffee frapp layered with brown sugar cream cold foam and cinnamon powder), and last but certainly not least, a “festive twist” on their Summer-Berry Refresher, The Firework Frappuccino.

While the Strata Frapps are expected to hit on menus July 8, the Firework Frapp (which reportedly consists of a coconut milk base, raspberry pearls, strawberry puree and cold foam) is here, just in time for the 4th of July (natch). There’s just one catch: it’s only sticking around for 8 days. Yes, you read that right. We’ve got mere days.

“This is a summer vacation in a cup,” said Amanda Conaway, product manager, in a statement. ”From the popping pearls to the creamy vanilla sweet cream, it’s a vibrant, textured beverage inspired by the sights and sounds of summer.”

As a reviewer for Delish reports, the Firework Frapp’s Summer-Berry Refresher base delivers a sweet-and-sour punch that tastes just like a Jolly Rancher, while the popping candy topping adds a nostalgic crackle that really sells the whole “firework” vibe. The drink’s creamy coconut milk and vanilla cold foam mellow out the tang for a smooth and velvety finish, and the swirl of strawberry purée ties the whole thing together with a fruity, playful kick.

You only have a few more days left to try the limited-edition flavor—so run, don’t walk. Maybe try practicing “Firework Frappuccino” with a straight face on your way there.
