Witchy nostalgia is in full bloom—Practical Magic 2 is officially happening, and it finally has a release date. Warner Bros. announced that the long-awaited sequel to the 1998 cult classic starring Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock will enchant theaters on September 18, 2026.
The announcement came via a spellbinding teaser video featuring the duo’s voices reciting a magical incantation: “Tooth of wolf and morning dew / something old and something new…” confirming their return as the spell-casting Owens sisters, Sally and Gillian. The original film followed the pair as they broke a deadly family curse that doomed the men they loved—a story now poised for a new chapter nearly three decades later.
Producer Denise Di Novi has emphasized the sequel’s intention to honor what made the first film beloved: sisterhood, acceptance, and the everyday magic of life and love. With the original now streaming on Max, longtime fans are revisiting the classic while new ones discover its charm.
Bullock, making her big-screen return since 2022, and Kidman promise a magical reunion that celebrates women’s power, connection—and maybe a few midnight margaritas too.
Mark your calendars—the spell is cast.
