While listening to the radio recently, you’ve probably heard a salsa or exotic tune called “Luz De Luna,” a song from a relatively unknown artist by the name of Bruce Blackman. Here’s the catch; do you remember a great song from 1976 called “Moonlight Feels Right.” Yup, the song was written and sung by the band Starbuck, and yes the man was Bruce Blackman.
Bruce went to his high school reunion in 2014 where he brought with him a song written for the reunion called “Jim’s Café.” He gave a few copies to his classmates, then a week after the reunion he realized that he had gotten hundreds of request for the song from his Facebook page. WOW! This inspired him to consider being a rock star at his advanced age, thus the resurgence of a singer who didn’t see it coming.
