The Office’s Jenna Fischer Apologizes

Office star Jenna Fischer has been in the news of late, so let’s bring you up to speed. Jenna jumped into the political sphere by criticizing the recently passed GOP Tax bill, saying that it’s a shame that teachers will have to spend their own money for school supplies, when in fact the bill does allow such a deduction. The Twittersphere went on the attack mode, calling her an uninformed left-leaning actress from Hollywood.

Jenna published an apology for getting it wrong this week, stating that she got her facts wrong, admitting her mistake, and saying she was sorry for speaking out of turn. She continued that although she was wrong and sorry for her factual error, she was not sorry for being the critical mass for a deeper discussion about what the tax law does and does not provide, using this moment to further the important discussion.

On a brief ‘Office’ note, it has been revealed that there is some buzz about an Office ‘reboot’ or return, both Jim and Pam (Jenna and John Krasinski) might be interested in coming back, while Steve Carell has no interest in reprising his role. Stay tuned Office fans.
