The Most Underrated Albums of the 60s

The 60s was the wildest and most interesting decade of years in our time. We were at war in the jungles of Vietnam, put a man on the moon, witnessed the assassinations of two Kennedys and Martin Luther King, and celebrated four days of free love and music at a festival called Woodstock.

It’s easy to name the best or top LPs of the 60s, (Pet Sounds from the Beach Boys and Sgt. Peppers from the Beatles are not only 50 years old this year, but surely on everyone’s top list), so let’s share what we think are the most ‘underrated’ albums of the 60s…

1.) ‘Live At The Apollo’ (1963) – James Brown
2.) ‘I Never Loved A Man The Way I Love You’ (1967) – Aretha Franklin
3.) ‘Highway 61 Revisited’ (1965) – Bob Dylan
4.) ‘Tommy’ (1969) – The Who
5.) ‘Abbey Road’ (1969) – The Beatles
