According to usnews.com, The Las Vegas Raiders have recently introduced former Nevada gambling regulator Sandra Douglass Morgan as the franchise’s new president. Morgan is the first Black woman ever to hold the title. The team owner Mark Davis had this to say, “Her experience, integrity and passion for this community will be invaluable to our organization, From the moment I met Sandra, I knew she was a force to be reckoned with. We are extremely lucky to have her at the helm.” Morgan was the former chairwoman of the Nevada Gaming Control Board, and is the third woman and third African-American ever to become president of an NFL Team. Morgan is quoted in saying that, “I definitely never want to be the last,” Morgan said, “and I want to get to a point where there is no more firsts.” Morgan also made a point of leadership and having full transparency during her introductory press conference that took place at Allegiant Stadium. Morgan has taken over a team that has faced tremendous turmoil in the last year, having two presidents and several longtime executives leaving the organization in the past year alone.
