According to rttnews.com, The Killers have officially confirmed that their latest single, “Boy,” is going to be released on August 5th. The song was recorded for The Killers newest album, pressure Machine, however, the band gave the track a special live debut at Madrid’s Mad Cool festival earlier in the month. Brandon Flowers also attempted to explain the track before the live performance of it in saying that, “We’ve been teasing it a little bit. It was the song that took me back home and was sort of the impetus for writing [2021 album] Pressure Machine. What’s interesting is that it just didn’t make it onto the record – but its absence is not a reflection of the quality of the song.” The Killers have also said they plan to release more singles throughout the year, followed by a full record sometime early next year according to the band.
