The Hollywood Walk of Fame is located along 15 blocks of Hollywood Boulevard, and three blocks of Vine Street in Hollywood, California. Getting a star on the Walk is considered an honor worthy of celebrity and stars from all over the world.
Over 10 million visitors will take the walk to view the stars that grace the walk. The Walk of Fame is a project overseen by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, and it makes good business sense to support the stars this way.
Canadian rocker Bryan Adams has a star, as do the Beach Boys, the Beatles, Chicago, record executive Clive Davis, Hall and Oates, George Harrison, Michael, Billy Joel, Bob Marley, Paul McCartney, Queen, Bonnie Raitt, Carlos Santana, Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band, David Bowie, Phil Collins, Crosby Stills, Nash & Young, the Doors, Duran Duran, Melissa Etheridge, Fleetwood Mac, Elton John, Journey, KISS, Kenny Loggins, Ozzy Osbourne, Tom Petty and the Heartbeakers, Rick Springfield, Ringo Starr, The Steve Miller Band, Rod Stewart, Sting, Tina Turner, and Ann and Nancy Wilson of Heart.
