Let’s leap into 2016 with a new attitude and showcase the most interesting and lesser known artists of our time, with a feature we call ‘A to Z.’
Here is the letter E…
“I Had Too Much to Dream Last Night,” was a classic late 60s song from a group of Los Angeles studio musicians that called themselves the ‘Electric Prunes.’ Dave Hassinger, an original member, was at that time a technician for the Rolling Stones and many other big name artists, and he desperately wanted to record his own music. He formed the group ‘The Eps’ with the hopes of making it big.
‘The Eps’ were the classic garage band hitting the charts only once, with the earlier mentioned song, and were together for less than four years. Kenny Loggins was once a member of the resurrected band, while on the other side of that coin, original member Mark Tulin later joined the Smashing Pumpkins.
