Move over Michael, the Eagles have landed – right on the #1 ‘Best-Selling’ album of all time spot. The Recording Industry Association of America now says that the Eagles ‘Greatest Hits 1971-1975’ released in 1976 has generated downloads and sales of more than 38 million copies, overtaking Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller’ for the title.
The LP ‘Eagles ‘Greatest Hits 1971-1975’ contains the top selling singles “Desperado,” “Already Gone” “Witchy Woman” to “Lyin’ Eyes,” “Take It Easy,” “One of these Nights” and more. The band’s ‘Hotel California’ is 3rd in the category of ‘best-selling of all time.’ Others on the top 10 best-selling list include Billy Joel’s ‘Greatest Hits’ ‘Led Zeppelin IV’ ‘The Wall’ from Pink Floyd and ‘Back in Black’ by AC/DC.
