The Doors Remastered ‘Waiting for the Sun’ Drops This September

The Doors estate has announced the latest way the world will help celebrate the band’s 50th birthday party, by sharing the news that the third studio album, ‘Waiting for the Sun’ will be remastered and released again this September.

‘Waiting for the Sun’ will be available in two CDs and one vinyl, and show off the stereo remastered touches from the original tapes. The reasons to get this offering are many, including 14 previously unreleased recordings. Other tracks will be either live, original from the album, or from concerts in 1968.

‘Waiting for the Sun’ from 1968 was the Doors first number one album, and included the hit songs “The Unknown Soldier” and “Hello, I Love You.” The LP sold over one million copies, a real achievement back then. If you’re a Doors fan, be sure to pick up ‘Waiting for the Sun’ this September.
