The Devil Wears Prada 2 Assembles Original Cast — And Adds a New Husband for Miranda Priestly

Miranda Priestly is back — and this time, so is her husband.

Disney and 20th Century Studios have officially confirmed that The Devil Wears Prada 2 is in production, reuniting the star-studded original cast: Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci. But joining the fashion-forward chaos is Oscar winner Kenneth Branagh, stepping into the role of Miranda Priestly’s elusive husband — a character alluded to, but never seen, in the 2006 hit.

The sequel, set for release on May 1, 2026, cleverly mirrors real-world fashion drama, arriving just as Vogue’s Anna Wintour — long rumored to be the inspiration behind Priestly — steps down after nearly four decades.

The Devil Wears Prada 2 finds Priestly grappling with the decline of print media and the ruthless evolution of the fashion industry. Expect sharp wit, high-stakes runway politics, and fresh romantic entanglements for Andy Sachs (Hathaway) and Emily Charlton (Blunt).

Original screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna and director David Frankel return, promising the same sharp dialogue and irresistible style that made the first film a global phenomenon, earning over $326 million worldwide.

The devil still wears Prada — but can she survive digital disruption?
