We know that the economy is getting better, the stock market has reached news highs, and now word that Broadway is setting records. One of the driving forces behind Broadway’s success has been the ‘Springsteen on Broadway’ production, extended well past its original run date due to its continued popularity. The numbers are staggering; Gross ticket sales will exceed $1.5 billion this season, more than 14% increases from last year gross sales revenue.
Springsteen on Broadway began in early 2017, and now is extended through mid-December 2018. Bruce Springsteen has helped Broadway to a record high north of $1.65 billion in sales for the 2017-18 season, thanks to his concert memoir, Springsteen on Broadway, which has grossed close to $61 million since its October opening.
