The Biggest Grammy Moments

The 60th Gammy Celebration and Awards is scheduled for Sunday, January 28th, and the nominees and teams of the production staff are working to put on a great show. There are times, however, when the show heads sideways, or give us a memorable moment. Here are a few of our the biggest moments in Grammy history…

In 2000, star J.Lo’s showed up in a green dress that looked more like body paint, stealing the show, from the red carpet to closing credits.

We thought we’d seen everything until Lady Gaga arrived in a huge silver egg, being carried by extras from central casting. Gaga made the 2011 Grammy celebration interesting for sure.

Although this was not necessarily a singular moment, the 1990 Grammy-winning duo Millie Vanilli had been exposed as phony’s (tapes played the voice of their songs, they simply lip-synced their performances) the Grammys demanded the Grammy back. Rob Pilatus and Fabrice Morvan could not recover from the embarrassment; Rob would die of an accidental drug overdose in 1998…

In the same vein, diva Whitney Houston was found unresponsive in a hotel bathtub on the eve of the 2012 Grammy’s. True to a Shakespearian saga, her daughter Bobbie would join her in death only a few years later.
