The All-American Rejects Bring Emo Nostalgia and Backyard Chaos to Life on House Party Tour

The All-American Rejects are proving that you don’t need an arena to start a riot — just a backyard, a few amps, and the right kind of energy.

Back with a vengeance after nearly a decade off the road, the emo-pop legends are staging their House Party Tour, a grassroots whirlwind of surprise shows that’s reigniting fans both old and new. From college campuses to suburban lawns, the Rejects are reminding audiences why hits like “Swing Swing” and “Gives You Hell” once ruled their teenage soundtracks.

Lead singer Tyson Ritter says the band’s aim was simple: reconnect with fans and promote their upcoming fifth studio album Sandbox in the most authentic way possible. That turned into nine chaotic days of impromptu shows — some so wild they were shut down by police (who, in true fan fashion, still let them finish one more song).

The band is capturing it all for a potential documentary, and they’re not slowing down. With a Comic-Con performance and dates alongside the Jonas Brothers ahead, the Rejects are making this summer a full-on emo renaissance.

“This is the best experience we’ve ever had,” Ritter said. “It’s not just music — it’s connection. Pure connection.”
