The adidas Superstar is entering a new era, rebranding its signature silhouette for 2026.
The campaign takes place within the fictional cinematic universe of Hotel Superstar. Jackson embarks on a search for his Superstar, and comes across a host of cross-cultural icons on his journey.
As The Hollywood Reporter reports, it’s a rather cinematic odyssey that finds him crossing paths with the likes of pop superstar Jennie, supermodel Kendall Jenner, Spanish soccer star Lamine Yamal, rapper and record producer Baby Keem, NBA superstar James Harden, skater Tyshawn Jones and Grammy’s newly minted best new artist Olivia Dean.
The plot finds Jackson moving through a striking hotel — dubbed the Hotel Superstar — only to encounter the aforementioned boldfaced names who all happen to be wearing the Superstar. The clip is directed by Thibaut Grevet, who has recently directed music videos for Tate McRae and A$AP Rocky.
For Spring 2026, adidas Originals reimagines the Superstar look by pairing nostalgic athletic styling with contemporary tailoring and the black and white, grainy, old Hollywood aesthetic of the short film is reflected in the photographs, creating a vintage look.
”The campaign celebrates the next era of the Superstar through both timeless design and cultural relevance,” says adidas Originals VP of Marketing Annie Barrett. “Superstars never go away, they are timeless and iconic. This season, we continue to show the relevance of this sneaker across music, fashion, sport and art. The new campaign pushes the bounds of reality with unexpected twists.”
That new campaign features the obvious — classic black-and-white sneakers and track suits to match —with some fresh takes like, in the men’s collection, looser fits and red, black and white color blocking featuring the three stripes. Jones even rocks some denim shorts, a new twist, while other items include tees and jacquard jerseys in neutral tones. On the women’s side, there’s a Superstar track top and an equipment blocking red jacket.
The new campaign launches this spring and will be supported through global content, brand activations and immersive in-person experiences, and the new era of adidas Superstar is available to purchase now on the adidas website and select retailers.
