On Wednesday, September 16th, The 55th Annual Academy of Country Music and will air from three iconic locations throughout Nashville, Tennessee for the first time. Those locations include the historic Ryman Auditorium, The Bluebird Cafe, and the Grand Ole Opry. And the ACM Awards performers list keeps growing!
Keith Urban, the ACM’s reigning entertainer of the year, is hosting the three-hour show, which will air live on the East Coast, and three hours later on the West Coast. The ACM promises “a night of heart and hits.”
You can count on Gabby Barrett, Kelsea Ballerini, Thomas Rhett, Maren Morris, Old Dominion and Jon Pardi to put on a show stopping performance at the historic Ryman Auditorium. Also performing at the Ryman are ACM’s newly crowned new male and female artist of the year winners, Riley Green and Tenille Townes.
The Bluebird Cafe’s roster includes Luke Combs, Jimmie Allen, Miranda Lambert and Tim McGraw.
The awards show announced on Tuesday that Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, Carrie Underwood and Trisha Yearwood will perform at the Grand Ole Opry House next week. Shelton also revealed that he’ll hit the stage alongside girlfriend Stefani for a performance of “Happy Anywhere.”
Meanwhile, Yearwood, 55, revealed on Instagram that she’ll hit the stage with “I’ll Carry You Home” during a special obituary tribute.
“I’m honored to perform ‘I’ll Carry You Home’ @ACMawards on September 16, paying tribute to those we have lost in the Country Music industry,” she wrote on Instagram.
