Heads up: Telfar just dropped a new bag, and you’re going to want it for Summer.
As Hypebae reports, Telfar’s new Utility Bag has already been dubbed “the accessory of the summer,” but this functional tote is also designed to carry you through all your adventures throughout the year.
Liberian-American Telfar Clemens launched his Brooklyn-based brand Telfar in 2005, and since then has won major fashion accolades like the 2017 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund and the CFDA American Accessories Designer of the Year in both 2020 and 2021. Not only is he known for his genderless accessories, but for using accessible vegan leather, as he did with his enormously popular “Shopping Bag” (nicknamed the “Bushwick Birkin”).
The new Utility Bag is an upgrade from the iconic Shopping Bag, and functionality is at the heart of this new design. The one size fits all design is perfect for the office, beach, airport and the person that simply has a lot of baggage to carry around. The washed canvas exterior is available in two colorways: “Black” and “Drab.” Playing into the bag’s name, a camouflage-printed interior adds a hidden, playful element to the design.
Made to work for you in every situation, deep side gusset pockets hold your water bottle for all day hydration. Adjustable straps create a customizable fit, and a zip-top keeps all your belongings safe and secure.
