Tears for Fears is releasing a reissue of their debut album, “The Hurting,” in order to celebrate the record’s 40th anniversary. The Hurting will be reissued as an Abbey Road Half-SpeedMastered vinyl as well as a freshly created Dolby Atmos mix through renowned artist and mixer Steven Wilson on May 12th.
Included will be the Dolby Atmos Mix, a 5.1 mix, an instrumental mix, the original album master, and two previously unheard tracks, are also being released as a limited edition standalone blu-ray disc that is only available through superdeluxedition.com.
The album itself was originally released on March 7th, 1983 and peaked at number one in the U.K. Albums Chart its second week of release. The album also peaked at number 73 on the Billboard 200.
