The BMI Pop Awards are happening on May 10 and that night we will see history in the making. Taylor Swift will be in attendance and will be receiving the very first Taylor Swift Award. You must be doing something right to have such an honor!
This honor has only happened once before. In 1990 Michael Jackson received an award named after himself.
Others receiving special awards during the award show set to occur in Beverly Hills, Calif. on May 10 are Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil. These two will receive the Icon Award.
The host of the award show will be BMI’s President and Vice President, Mike O’Neill and Barbara Cane.
