After a five-year silence, Tame Impala — the creative force of Kevin Parker — has officially announced a new album titled Deadbeat, set to drop on October 17, 2025 via Columbia Records. The first singles, “End of Summer” and “Loser”, hint at a sonic evolution: “End of Summer” leans into acid house and ambient textures, while “Loser” echoes Parker’s signature psychedelic grooves.
A third single, “Dracula”, released September 26, shows Parker pushing even further into dance-pop territory, combining pulsating beats and nocturnal ambiance. Thematically, Deadbeat is shaped by influences from bush doof culture and Western Australia’s rave scene, reimagining Tame Impala as a “future primitive rave act.” Recording took place between Parker’s hometown of Fremantle and his oceanfront studio, Wave House in Injidup.
In support of the release, a U.S. fall tour has been announced, featuring stops in Brooklyn, Chicago, Los Angeles, and more. For longtime fans and new listeners alike, Deadbeat promises to be more than a comeback — it’s a bold statement that Tame Impala continues to transcend genre and expectations.
