Talking Trade Deadline Deals

The NBA trade deadline was a wild one with so many players exchanging teams we couldn’t keep up! There were some big deals that took place a week or two ago like Blake Griffin being traded to the Pistons and some that rivaled it yesterday. Let’s break them down…

The Cavs traded Isaiah Thomas, Channing Frye, Derrick Rose, Jae Crowder and Iman Shumpert to the Jazz, Kings, and Lakers. In return, they received Rodney Hood, George Hill, Jordan Clarkson, and Larry Nance. They would also trade Dwyane Wade to the Heat for a second-round pick.

Elfrid Payton is a promising young point guard who was traded to the Sun for a second-round pick. Another point guard was traded when the Knicks received Emmanuel Mudiay. That deal involved Devin Harris going to the Nuggets and Doug McDermott to the Mavericks as well as a few draft picks being exchanged.

The Pistons made a few more deals before the deadline, receiving Jameer Nelson and James Ennis for Willie Reed and Brice Johnson, two players also involved in the Blake Griffin trade earlier this year.
