The NFL playoffs are here and earlier this week we gave you a brief rundown of what games were occurring during Wild Card weekend. The excitement will be high, but not as high it will be in upcoming rounds. Nonetheless we’re going to take a look at the NFL betting lines and discuss which side we like and don’t like for each game.
In the first game of the weekend, Oakland faces off against Houston on the road. While the Raiders are starting a quarterback who is making his first start in a playoff game, the first time ever, we’re still liking the team from Oakland to cover the spread. The Texans should win this one, but Oakland +3.5 is the move considering it should be a very low scoring game.
Detroit heads to Seattle Saturday night as eight-point underdogs. Once again we’re taking the underdog here. The Seattle Seahawks are great at home, but their offense is banged up. We also like Detroit because the Seahawks are missing Earl Thomas Jr.
Pittsburgh plays Miami at home Sunday afternoon as 10-point favorites. We’ll be looking at Pittsburgh to abuse the Miami Dolphins defense with their three-headed monster of Ben, Le’Veon and Antonio.
In the last game of the weekend, Green Bay is a five-point favorite against the Giants. Aaron Rodgers promised us all that they would make the playoffs and he followed through with it. This is the toughest one of them all this weekend. With that being said, we’ll be taking the Packers -5.
Season Standings: 23-28-2
