North American Shows to Follow
The South American trek follows three North American stadium shows announced earlier this month. Taking place in August and September 2025, the band will share the stage with Korn, Avenged Sevenfold, and Deftones, each acting as co-headliners for different dates. Due to overwhelming demand, second nights have already been added in all three cities:

MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, NJ – With Korn
Soldier Field, Chicago, IL – With Avenged Sevenfold
Rogers Centre, Toronto, ON – With Deftones
The Return of SOAD
While System Of A Down haven’t released a new album since their 2005 dual albums Mezmerize and Hypnotize, their influence remains legendary. The band reunited in 2011 but largely eschewed traditional touring, opting instead for festival performances and occasional one-off shows.

In a candid interview last year with Revolver, frontman Serj Tankian explained their preference for smaller commitments:

“It’s fun, it’s profitable, it makes a lot of people happy… But after years of doing it and the travel that’s involved, it’s not the top priority on my list in life.”

Still, Tankian hasn’t ruled out the possibility of new music. Speaking to The Sun, he teased that a future SOAD album would need to signal a creative “fresh start.” He also revealed that the band has “a few hidden gems” of unreleased material.

Fans now have their long-awaited chance to see System Of A Down’s electrifying live energy return to the stage, making 2025 an unforgettable year for the band’s global fanbase.
