Sweetgreen is likely already your go-to salad spot, but now it wants to give you a little something extra on the side. Last week, the chain announced it’s expanding into the snacking space with a new collaboration with Siete Foods for its very first chip flavor, Green Goddess Ranch Potato Chips with a Hint of Poblano.
“At Sweetgreen, we’re passionate about collaborating with brands, like Siete Foods, that share our value of connecting people with delicious, healthy food options,” Nicolas Jammet, the co-founder and chief concept officer at Sweetgreen, shared in a statement provided to Food & Wine. “We’re excited to take the flavors of our wildly popular Green Goddess Ranch dressing and create an exclusive product for our Sweetgreen customers.”
The flavor, which the two brands are adorably calling a “partnerchip,” is inspired by one of Sweetgreen’s fan-favorite dressings, its Green Goddess Ranch dressing, which, let’s face it, goes with everything. The chips, the two brands explained, are kettle-cooked and made with avocado oil and a hint of poblano for just a touch of tang and are both gluten and dairy-free.
“As a better-for-you Mexican-American brand, we’re excited to bring Siete’s heritage-inspired offerings to new places,” Miguel Garza, the co-founder and CEO of Siete Foods, added. “We feel connected to Sweetgreen’s focus on building healthier communities and wanted to develop a product that represents our shared vision. By blending poblano and Green Goddess Ranch flavors, we created something unique and delicious.”
The new chips, which retail for $2.50 per bag, will only be available in Sweetgreen stores, however, there are more than 200 of those across the nation, so odds are good you’ll be able to find a bag near you.
