The Eurythmics were one of the early nominees for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, yet did not get the nod this year. The Eurythmics number one song “Sweet Dreams are Made of This’ was one of their biggest tunes, and its two members, Dave Stewart and Annie Lennox, had a long and successful run in the business, having earned an MTV Video Music Award for Best New Artist in 1984, the Grammy Award for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal in 1987, and selling millions of records.
Annie Lennox is an extremely talented musician, studying flute and keyboards at the Royal Academy of Music in London. She’s also the most successful female artist in British music history, winning more Brit Awards won by a female artist from the UK.
