Soundtracked by Journey’s “Separate Ways (Worlds Apart),” the trailer for the highly-anticipated fourth season of Netflix’s Stranger Things that was just released this week has piqued the interest of rock-lovers around the world.
The first extended look into the show’s upcoming season follows the charming group of teenage heroes battling both the social horrors of high school and the actual horrors of the supernatural powers that loom.
“A war is coming,” the character Dr. Owens warns Millie Bobby Brown’s Eleven. “I’m afraid your friends in Hawkins are very much in the eye of the storm.”
Journey’s rocking track fittingly reflects the characters’ struggles to navigate a new chapter in their lives. “Here we stand / Worlds apart, hearts broken in two,” Steve Perry sings, narrating the first time this group of friends has had to face life apart from one another.
Stranger Things co-creators Matt and Ross Duffer recently shared that the show would end with its fifth season. Season 4 will premiere in two “volumes,” the first arriving on May 27 and the second on July 1.
