Sting Unveils New Track Ahead of North American Tour with Sting 3.0

Sting is gearing up to hit the road with his newly formed STING 3.0 power trio, and fans are in for a treat with fresh music added to the setlist. The legendary musician has released “I Wrote Your Name (Upon My Heart),” his first new song since his 2021 album, The Bridge.

The energetic track, inspired by the classic Bo Diddley rhythm, features Sting alongside guitarist Dominic Miller and drummer Chris Maas, the core members of his trio. In this love song, Sting’s voice takes on a raw, gravelly tone as he sings, “I wrote your name upon my heart/ So I’d remember if ever we should part.” The heartfelt lyrics reflect the song’s theme of love and memory amidst life’s challenges.

The STING 3.0 tour begins on September 17 in Detroit and will take the trio across North America, wrapping up on November 13 in Los Angeles. This tour promises an intimate, theater-style experience, blending Sting’s classic hits with new material.

Fans can expect a powerful mix of past favorites and this exciting new addition when the tour kicks off.
