Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham Reunite for Long-Awaited Buckingham Nicks Reissue

The rumors were true: Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham are back—at least musically. Over 50 years since its original release, their cult classic Buckingham Nicks will officially be reissued on CD and digital platforms on September 19.

Long considered a hidden gem in rock history, the 1973 album had been out of print for decades, never appearing on streaming services and only circulating through rare vinyls and bootlegs. The reissue brings the ten-track album into the modern age with newly remastered sound, including early versions of songs like “Crystal,” which later appeared on Fleetwood Mac’s iconic 1975 record.

To mark the announcement, Nicks and Buckingham released the opener, “Crying in the Night,” digitally this week. Their recent cryptic social media posts quoting lyrics from “Frozen Love” had fans buzzing—and for good reason. That very track once caught Mick Fleetwood’s ear and led to Buckingham and Nicks joining Fleetwood Mac, forever altering the band’s legacy.

Though there’s no word yet on whether the release will spark a joint tour or live appearance, the reunion alone has rekindled nostalgia. As Mick Fleetwood aptly put it: “It’s magic then, magic now.” For fans of classic rock, this reissue is more than an album—it’s a moment.
