According to hollywoodreporter.com, the fan favorite actor from Squid Game Anupam Tripathi has officially signed with CAA in all areas. Tripathi first started by moving to Korea on an arts scholarship and for the following decade primarily in small parts onscreen and stage until he found his first major role in the Netflix hit Squid Game, as Ali Abdul or Player Number 199. His character was portrayed as a sweet and very trusting Pakistani migrant worker who was trying to earn a living for his wife and kid. In the role he had to speak broken Korean with an Urdu accent, in real life the actor is fluent in both Korean and Hindi. On top of his recent signing, Tripathi has also became a SAG Award nominee, with a nomination for an outstanding performance by an ensemble in a drama series with the Squid Game cast. Tripathi will next be heard in the Marginal Mediaworks’ upcoming podcast drama called Scammers and the actor continues to be managed by Beverly Hills and Seoul based B&C Content.
