Normally we sit here and tell you about how stacked this week is when it comes to athletes and their birthdays. Most of the time we’re churching it up a little bit, but this time we swear it doesn’t get much better than this. You could field some impressive multi-sport teams with the stars celebrating a birthday this week.
Serena Williams is one of the greatest female tennis players of all-time. Yes, she turned 35 this week! This star began playing tennis at the age of five and has won 22 singles titles since she became a tennis pro.
Xander Bogaerts is turning just 264years old this week, but many consider him one of the best shortstops in baseball. The Aruba native plays for the Boston Red Sox and was on the team that won the World Series back in 2013.
Kevin Durant turns 28 this week. The recently new member to the Golden State Warriors is looking for his first NBA championship, but will have to beat off the Cleveland Cavaliers for it more than likely this season.
Calvin Johnson is the recently retired Detroit Lions’ player who made his money by being one of the best wide receivers in football. He’s also an all around great guy who let his play on the field do all the talking when he was an active NFL player. He turns 31 this week.
Mike Schmidt, Brandin Cooks, Tyler Lockett, Andres Guardado, Anderson Varejao and Cardale Jones all turn a year older this week.
