In what was big gambling news on Tuesday, the U.S. Supreme Court agreed to take a look at the New Jersey appeal on sports betting. The state wants to offer legal sports betting within the state and now there is a chance things could be looking up for those behind it.
This appeal could lead to the state allowing gambling at racetracks and casinos. While it isn’t big news for the rest of the United States, it’s this kind of thing that creates a domino effect throughout the country meaning we could see more and more stats with legal sports betting if overturned.
As you may know, Nevada is the only state that allows for sports gambling and just last year nearly $5 billion was thrown down on sports.
