Sid Wilson, the dynamic turntablist of Slipknot, has made good on a vow he made to the late Bushwick Bill of Geto Boys fame by helping Bushwick’s son launch his own music career. Wilson’s newly founded imprint, Vomit Face Records, just signed the younger artist — fulfilling a “promise to the spirit” of Bushwick Bill.
Wilson explained that the two-decades-old pact began when he and Bushwick Bill committed to making an album together. After Bushwick’s untimely death, Wilson pledged to channel that vision into the son’s album instead. The label’s first release is Lil Bushwick’s “Take It Back,” co-produced with DJ Lethal — a symbolic hand-off of legacy and possibility.
With Vomit Face Records, Wilson frames the venture as a home for artists who don’t fit traditional molds — rebels, misfits and boundary-pushers — echoing the ethos that made Slipknot icons in their own right. By honoring Bushwick Bill’s legacy and empowering his son, Wilson bridges hip-hop and metal, past and future.
