Slipknot is marking 25 years of chaos with a one-of-a-kind collector’s dream: a six-album blood-filled vinyl box set celebrating their 1999 self-titled debut. The gory detail? Only 1,999 copies will be available globally — a nod to the year that launched the band into nu-metal immortality.
Released today, July 22, the set offers more than nostalgia. It’s a deep dive into the band’s origin story, featuring 59 tracks — 40 of them previously unreleased — including Indigo Ranch demo versions, alternate mixes, and thunderous live performances from 1999–2000. Also included is rare imagery and artwork pulled from the band’s vaults, lovingly curated by Slipknot co-founder Shawn “Clown” Crahan.
Crahan calls the collection “the best of all things Slipknot,” highlighting raw studio outtakes, lost live recordings, and visuals that fans have never seen. “These moments wouldn’t have made sense to release 25 years ago — now they’re gold,” he says.
Each vinyl in the set is pressed with faux blood, adding a literal splash of Slipknot’s signature brutality to every spin.
Sales are limited to one per person, and with diehard Maggots lining up online, this drop is poised to become one of metal’s most coveted collectibles ever.
