This summer, legendary guitarist Slash is set to electrify audiences with the launch of the S.E.R.P.E.N.T. festival, a blues-infused music tour named with the noble principles of “Solidarity, Engagement, Restore, Equality N’ Tolerance” in mind. Commencing on July 5 in Bonner, Montana, and wrapping up on August 17 in Grand Prairie, Texas, the festival promotes a gathering of diversity and unity through the power of music.
Featuring a rotating lineup of distinguished rock and blues musicians, including Warren Haynes, Samantha Fish, Eric Gales, ZZ Ward, Larkin Poe, and Jackie Venson, the S.E.R.P.E.N.T. festival aims to bridge social divides and celebrate the rich tapestry of human experience. Slash, inspired to foster a sense of community and mutual respect amid societal tensions, views the festival as a vibrant platform for connection and celebration.
In anticipation of the festival, Slash will release “Orgy of the Damned,” a tribute to blues legends, on May 17. The album’s lead single, a spirited rendition of Howlin’ Wolf’s “Killing Floor” featuring Brian Johnson and Steven Tyler, sets the tone for what promises to be an unforgettable summer of music. With tickets going on sale this Friday, fans are invited to join in this celebration of solidarity, music, and diversity.
