According to rttnews.com, there were 43,000 copies of Shinedown’s latest album sold in the U.S. alone this week as data provided by Luminate suggests. The album, Planet Zero, was released on July first and opened at the number one spot on the Top Current Album Sales Chart, Top Rock & Alternative Albums, Top Rock Albums, Top Alternative Albums and Top Hard Rock Albums charts. The album is the seventh studio album by the Florida based Rock band, who released 15 different physical formats of the album. The physical versions they sold of the album made up for 30,000 of the album sales units, leaving only 13,000 from digital sales. The Billboard Top Album Sales chart only ranks top selling albums based on traditional album sales and not digital copies.
