Sergio Pulls a ‘Tin Cup’, Tiger +1, Spieth Leads Masters

Augusta National is a touch place to lose your cool, a golf course that demands length, accuracy, and a depth touch with the flat stick in your hands. Sergio Garcia discovered the possibility of winning back to bask Masters would be an uphill battle as he hit his approach into the water on 15. Much like the film ‘Tin Cup’ or Roy “Tin Cup” McAvoy fashion, Sergio carded an incredible 13 on the par 5, after hitting the ball multiple times into the water guarding the green. 13 is the most stokes any golfer has ever recorded on that hole in Master history, shooting an 87 on the 1st day of play.

Jordan Spieth took the 1st round lead at the Masters with a clever 7 under par, followed by Tony Finau and Matt Kuchar close behind. Patrick Reed, Zach Johnson, Henrick Stenson and Rory all lurking nearby.
