Selma Blair, the acclaimed actress known for her role in “Cruel Intentions,” is making significant changes to her professional circle. She has recently severed ties with her agents at Creative Artists Agency (CAA) and her publicists at Narrative, alongside adjustments to her management and legal teams. Previously represented by manager Troy Nankin at Wishlab and attorney Cheryl Snow at Gang, Tyre, Ramer, Brown & Passman, Blair’s IMDbPro now lists Ben Gaynor of Wishlab as her new manager and Joshua Reitzas at Berlandi Nussbaum & Reitzas as her legal counsel.
These changes come in the wake of Blair facing backlash for an anti-Islam comment on Instagram, which she later deleted and for which she issued a heartfelt apology. In her apology, Blair expressed regret for her words and clarified that her comment was a mistake, inadvertently conflating Muslims with radical Islamists and fundamentalists. She extended her apologies to the Muslim community, her friends, and all those she hurt, committing to better understanding how words matter and promising to do better in the future.
