Selena Gomez Recently Revisited ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’ by Visiting Waverly Place in New York City

According to billboard.com, prior to Selena Gomez being a pop star, mental health advocate, and documentary maker, she was teen witch Alex Russo, star of Disney Channel’s Wizards of Waverly Place. Ten years ago the show concluded, but in a recent Instagram post, she revealed she went back to her roots by revisiting the real life place where her former character used to live: Waverly Place in New York City.

Selena revealed that she had taken the trip to the Greenwich Village street where Wizards took place in a Saturday, October 29th post. As expected fans who grew up with the show could barely handle the post with one saying, “DONT DO THIS TO ME,” and another posting “CRYING U CANT DO THIS.”

Selena Gomez was on the sitcom from 2007 to 2012, where she filmed four season and a feature length movie. In 2013, the cast reunited for a one off TV special that was called The Wizards Return: Alex vs. Alex. Since the reunion, the Grammy nominee has starred in and produced a number of screen projects, including Only Murders in the building that debuted on Hulu back in June. She is now getting ready to release a documentary on her mental health struggles that is titled Selena Gomez: My Mind and Me on Apple TV+ on November fourth. Gomez also announced she will be dropping a single of the same name one day prior to the film’s premiere.
