Great music is released all of the time, but this week there are two anniversaries on the same day that produced some really good music from a few famous female singers that we all know and love. Selena Gomez and Christina Aguilera are both celebrating anniversaries with two of their biggest hits.
Selena Gomez’s “Good For You” was released one year ago June 22. It came off the album “Revival” and was a monster hit for her. It was nominated for awards at the 2016 Kids’ Choice Awards, 2015 MTV Video Music Awards, and 2015 Teen Choice Awards. A$AP Rocky’s help on the track definitely helped put this song over the top.
Christina Aguilera released “Genie In a Bottle” 17 years ago on June 22! Wow! It hasn’t been that long has it? This song really put her on the map, showed off her vocal talents, and the music video was pretty hot! It would sell over one million copies in the US, proving to be one of her best singles ever.
