Scottie Scheffler proved once again why he’s the world’s top golfer, securing a dominant win at the 2025 PGA Championship at Quail Hollow Club. Despite a brief stumble on the front nine, where a five-shot lead evaporated, Scheffler rallied with back-to-back birdies on holes 14 and 15 to regain control and finish at 11-under par — five strokes ahead of the field.
The victory marks Scheffler’s third major title and his first outside of Augusta National, earning him the prestigious Wanamaker Trophy and a $3.42 million share of the tournament’s record-setting $19 million purse.
After a near-flawless 65 on Saturday, Scheffler entered Sunday with momentum. But early bogeys gave way to a charge from Jon Rahm, who briefly overtook him before crumbling down the stretch with three bogeys in his final three holes. Scheffler capitalized on the shift, maintaining poise and precision to seal his 15th career PGA Tour win and second tournament win this month alone.
Bryson DeChambeau, Harris English, and Davis Riley tied for second at 6-under, while early leader Jhonattan Vegas joined Taylor Pendrith and J.T. Poston in a tie for fifth.
