According to tasteofcountry.com, Sam Hunt has cancelled his headlining performance at the Boots and Hearts Festival in Canada, stating that “ongoing government restrictions” are the reason. The festival is scheduled for August 4th through the seventh and originally had Hunt headlining on Friday, August fifth. In a post on social media Hunt stated, “Unfortunately, due to ongoing government restrictions, Sam Hunt will not be able to perform at Boots & Hearts Music Festival on August 5th. We were hopeful these restrictions would be lifted as the date got closer, but it’s now apparent that won’t happen. Boots & Hearts Music Festival has secured a great replacement, and we all hope you can continue to have a great weekend in Burl’s Creek.” The festival itself found a replacement in Jake Owens, who will now headline on Friday night. Hunt also released a new single in June titled, “Water Under the Bridge.”
