Yesterday, a handful of leaked Kendrick Lamar tracks sent the internet into a curious frenzy. Many believe, and have speculated, that the rapper will be dropping something new this Friday, which just so happens to be the ninth anniversary of his album good kid, m.A.A.d. city.
There was also a teasing hint on Spotify when fans noticed Kendrick’s photo was briefly changed—usually a sign of new content from an artist on the streaming platform.
While fans are piecing together the signs of something potential, the only concrete fact about Kendrick’s next project came from the rapper himself back in August, when he revealed that he would be producing his final album with Top Dawg Entertainment. For now, everyone will just have to wait and see.
