Rockers That are 70 or Older

It’s been said that it’s always better to be above ground rather than below it. Believe it or not, the following rockers are turning 70 this year, or have been 70 for a few years.

Debbie Harry is 70. No way! Stephen Stills, Rod Stewart, Mickey Dolenz (formally of the Monkees), Eric Clapton, Ritchie Blackmore (Deep Purple), Bob Seger, Peter Townshend, C.C.R.’s John Fogerty, Carly Simon and Canadian Anne Murray, Van Morrison, Jose Feliciano, Neil Young, Bette Midler, and former KISS member Peter Criss are all in their 70s by now.

Those over 70 include Mick Jagger, three of the Beach Boys, Aretha Franklin, Paul McCartney, both Simon and Garfunkel, Bob Dylan, Neil Diamond, and finally Smokey Robinson are well past the age of 70s and still alive and kicking.
