The Rock the Bells Festival is set to make its New Jersey debut on June 28, 2025, at Newark’s Prudential Center, celebrating the rich tapestry of hip-hop culture with a lineup that bridges generations and coasts.
Headliners include East Coast stalwarts Busta Rhymes and Redman, West Coast legend Too $hort, and Southern icons Scarface, Boosie, and Plies. The festival also boasts performances by Eric B. & Rakim, KRS-One, Big Daddy Kane, Remy Ma, Fabolous, Lil’ Mo, M.O.P., Capone-N-Noreaga, and rising stars Coast Contra.
Hosted by Roxanne Shanté and soundtracked by DJ Kid Capri, the event promises a masterclass in hip-hop artistry. A special tribute to Uptown Records, curated by DJ Eddie F, will feature performances from Al B. Sure!, Donell Jones, Christopher Williams, Soul For Real, and more, honoring the label’s influential legacy.
LL Cool J, founder of Rock the Bells, describes the festival as “a cultural homecoming,” celebrating the artists who laid hip-hop’s foundation and those propelling it forward.
