Robin Roberts is marking 20 years of love with wife Amber Laign in the most meaningful way—by giving back. The Good Morning America anchor recently stepped away from her broadcast duties for a service-centered trip to Kigali, Rwanda, where the couple joined Giants of Africa and In Mu We Trust in honoring youth basketball players from across the continent.
Roberts, 64, shared heartfelt moments from the trip on Instagram, describing it as “a wonderful way to celebrate 20 years as a couple.” The national day of service in Rwanda provided the perfect backdrop for a milestone rooted in connection and purpose.
Laign echoed the sentiment in a joyful post of her own, writing, “20 Years, 20 Countries, One Incredible Journey.” The couple’s reflections were accompanied by clips of dancing, singing, and service—moments that captured the energy and spirit of the people they met.
From blind date in 2005 to wedding vows in 2023, Roberts and Laign have built a love story rooted in adventure and authenticity. Their secret? “Keep it fresh,” says Laign. With gorilla treks, service work, and spontaneous dancing, the couple is clearly living that mantra.
