Reese Witherspoon and Oliver Haarmann have reportedly taken their relationship beyond friendship. According to multiple sources, the two have moved from friends to dating after being seen together in New York City for the second time in just over a month. On Wednesday, Sept. 4, they attended an Assouline event alongside notable figures like Roger Federer and Anna Wintour.
Haarmann, a financier and minority co-owner of the NHL’s New York Islanders, was spotted in khaki pants, a light-blue shirt, and a navy blazer. Meanwhile, Witherspoon looked chic in a black short-sleeved dress and matching heels.
An insider described their budding romance as “casual” and shared that the Legally Blonde star is “taking things slow when it comes to dating,” prioritizing work and her 11-year-old son, Tennessee, whom she shares with ex-husband Jim Toth. Witherspoon and Toth finalized their divorce in August 2023 after 12 years of marriage.
The actress also has two adult children, Ava and Deacon, with first husband Ryan Phillippe. Reflecting on her recent split with Toth, Witherspoon told Harper’s BAZAAR she’s focusing on being her “most honest, forthright self” and staying authentic amidst public speculation.
